J & K Oils Limited was formed in 1990. Initially with one vehicle, collecting engine waste oils and waste water for waste oil disposal from garages in North Staffordshire and transporting it to oil transport reclamation facilities for re-use. Today the Company runs 2 rigid tankers for waste oil and 17 other vehicles including articulated and rigid tankers for the distribution and delivery of bulk industrial lubricants, fuel, processed oils, domestic heating oils, and associated products. This oil recovery service is available throughout the U.K. Company's who currently take advantage of this facility are Mobil, Texaco, Castrol, B.P and Fuchs Lubricants.

The customer base is primarily garage services and transport workshops, although collections of waste oil are made from many other industrial users. This can be undertaken by utilisation of the mixed fleet, which includes some specially designed vehicles, enabling the collection of various load sizes. The company currently provides a collection service for approximately 2500 customers, which has the following advantages.

1. A regular waste oil recovery or collection service ensures that used motor oil is maintained to a minimum, thereby reducing the possibility of spillage at the customer premises.

2. Used oils are brought to a single site where expertise in handling and storage of oils is undertaken.

3. Oils are transferred (oil transport) for reprocessing and oil recovery to a licensed site, where they are converted to burning fuel or base oils for lubricant production.

4. The company complies with all environmental and waste regulations, freeing their customers from dealing with complex requirements and documents.
